About the Speaker
Peter Laughter believes that all humans are deeply and profoundly connected. His purpose is to make those connections visible and apparent in daily interactions.  After a 25-year history as an entrepreneur providing bespoke staffing solutions to high-profile investment banking and consulting clients, Laughter realized that recruiting is broken. He is now on a new journey as founder of True Bearing, which helps purpose-centered companies deploy Engagement Based Recruiting.  True Bearing leverages powerful narrative themes that emerge from Purpose and Values to attract dynamic pipelines of rockstar employees enlivened by the company’s purpose and values.

Laughter is a storyteller and public speaker. He has had the pleasure of delivering a TEDx Talk on Radical Empathy and frequently tell stories with The Moth.  In his free time, he loves riding his bike, listening to people tells stories, and exploring Brooklyn.  More than anything, he loves riding the Cyclone with his daughter, Eddy.

About the Speaker
Amber Clayton is the Senior Director of Knowledge Center Operations at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). There, she leads a team of HR experts who field an average of 60,000 HR-related inquiries from members a year. She is frequently sought after as a speaker and expert for webinars, conferences, and media interviews. Clayton co-hosts a podcast called Honest HR.  She is SHRM-certified with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. She also holds specialty credentials in California law, inclusive workplace culture, and workplace investigations. Prior to joining SHRM in 2011, she had years of HR experience in healthcare and retail.
