Leadership Institute FAQs
Who should attend the FSA Leadership Institute?
Applicants should be current or emerging senior leaders and CEOs. The applicant should have prior leadership training and experience. If you have a question regarding a certain candidate, please contact Marsha Wesley Coleman.
Each applicant must be nominated by their Board Chair and/or CEO. If the applicant is the highest-ranking executive officer, the organization's board chair should be the nominator.
What are the dates for the next session of the FSA Leadership Institute?
Dates for the next session will be announced in early 2025.
How does one apply to the FSA Leadership Institute?
The online application for the next cohort will be posted in 2025.
How many people from each organization can apply?
FSA encourages each organization to send in a nomination. However, in order to maintain a diverse group and maximize each attendee's experience, we ask that you limit applications to one per FSA member organization per cohort. More than one applicant per organization will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
What is the selection process once an application has been submitted?
Applications will be reviewed by FSA Leadership Institute staff. All submissions are confidential.
What is the tuition, and what does it include?
Tuition is $4,000, and it includes all meals during workshops, accommodations, and materials. Travel expenses to the meetings are the responsibility of the member organization. Tuition checks should be made payable to FSA, 460 Norristown Road, Ste. 300, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
Funds are available for tuition and travel stipends in cases of documented financial need. Contact FSA for more information.
What is the Cancellation Policy for the FSA Leadership Institute?
Each professional who is accepted to the Leadership Institute is an important part of the cohort experience. Application and acceptance into the program indicates a commitment to the session schedule. Should a situation arise that prevents attendance, cancellations must be submitted no later than May 24, 2024, to Marsha Coleman. After this date, an organization is permitted to nominate another employee to take the place of an accepted applicant. However, due to the fees associated with accommodations, space rental, meals, and materials, cancellations and no-shows will be billed the full cost of the workshop. We thank you for your understanding.
Can local participants commute each day to the sessions?
We ask that all participants stay overnight at the Desmond Hotel, Malvern, PA to minimize distractions, attend scheduled evening events and promote bonding within the cohort.
