Assistant Facilities Director

Kendal Crosslands is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Facilities Director!

Work with a value-centered community where everyone is welcome and supportive, and whose reputation in the senior living field is stellar. Our 500-acre campus in Kennett Square is adjacent to Longwood Gardens in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. We seek an Assistant Director of Facilities.

Primary responsibilities include managing several departments (Grounds, Maintenance, Plant Operations, Campus Responders, and Transportation) on a 500-acre, multi-building property. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, knowledge of the trades associated with this position, budget management, attention to detail, good people, and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field. 
• Minimum five years’ experience in facilities management along with five years’ management experience to include supervision of skilled craftspeople. 
• Knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, grounds, automotive, and transportation operations. 
• Engineering degree preferred.  Strong leadership ability. 
• Effective communication and teamwork skills. 
• Demonstrated understanding of operations and capital budget process.
• Basic computer skills necessary.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and be insurable by the Kendal Crosslands Communities insurance.
