We are currently searching for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and resident-centered Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team.

As the CFO for the community, the successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership and management of the finance department, ensuring that Foulkeways maintains sound financial structure and fiscal responsibility. The CFO will direct the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices while maintaining its relationship with lending institutions and investment managers. Major job duties include overseeing and directing budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization. Additionally, the CFO will lead within the context of Foulkeways mission and philosophies, while assuring compliance with professional standards of care and federal/state/local regulations.

 The CFO will have the unique opportunity to work in a Medicare-free skilled nursing & personal care setting with a passionate and committed board of directors and body of residents. In partnership with other departments, the CFO will work to foster and cultivate relationships and a sense of community among all residents and team members through leadership, empowerment, and innovation. The CFO will connect frequently with residents, family members and employees to ensure accurate communication of necessary and important information or messages. The CFO will also participate in many important operation functions, including, but not limited to, budgeting, regulatory/licensure inspections, and committee meetings (Risk, Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement, etc).

Requirements:

  • Currently possesses Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance-related degree; Accounting, MBA, and or CPA preferred.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of current local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Minimum 5-10 years prior related experience in a Financial management role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Financial Leadership experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in spreadsheet programs, ie. Excel is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of management, business, and accounting practices and principles.
  • Strong analytical/strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret concrete and abstract date, technical procedures, and financial reports.
  • Ability to write clear, persuasive, and informative reports.
  • Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees, residents, board members, and the general public.
