We are currently searching for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and resident-centered Director of Environmental Services (EVS) to join our leadership team.
As the Director of EVS for the community, the successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership and management of the EVS department, ensuring that Foulkeways maintains a high standard of cleanliness and customer service. The Director of EVS will direct the organization’s EVS practices and assist in apartment turnovers, while maintaining its relationship with residents and members of other departments. Major job duties include overseeing and directing the budget of the department, staffing and scheduling biweekly cleanings, supervising members of the EVS and reception desk staff, and establishing sound departmental policies and procedures. The Director of EVS will ensure that current infection control standards are met across all areas of campus and that staff receive adequate training. Additionally, the Director of EVs will lead within the context of Foulkeways mission and philosophies, while assuring compliance with professional standards of care and federal/state/local regulations.
The Director of EVS will have the unique opportunity to work in a Medicare-free skilled nursing & personal care setting with a passionate and committed board of directors and body of residents. In partnership with other departments, the Director of EVS will work to foster and cultivate relationships and a sense of community among all residents and team members through leadership, empowerment and innovation. The Director of EVS will connect frequently with residents, family members, and employees to ensure accurate communication of necessary and essential information or messages. The Director of EVS will also participate in many important operation functions, including, but not limited to, budgeting, regulatory/licensure inspections, and committee meetings (Risk, Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement, etc).

Requirements:
- Currently possesses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
- Possess thorough knowledge of current local, state, and federal regulations.
- Minimum 3-5 years prior related experience in a management role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- EVS Leadership experience in a health care setting is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications/systems is required.
- Strong analytical/strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees, residents, board members, and the general public.
