Kendal~Crosslands Communitiesa leader in the senior services field for over 50 years, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing. Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley and steeped in Quaker values, they are a not-for-profit retirement community with two Life Plan Communities (over 500 residences) and two 50+ Communities (with 74 residences) dedicated to older adults' care, dignity, and respect. The successful candidate will work at the Crosslands Community location and lead our Health Center, which consists of 60 skilled nursing and 51 personal care residences. 

This position plays an integral leadership role in the Health Center's overall operations. It requires a servant leader with strong clinical practice nursing management skills and a proven track record in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating best practice systems of care.

Key responsibilities include leading the nursing care team, developing policies, procedures, and standards of care, recruiting and retaining staff, developing an educational program for Health Center staff, identifying and implementing innovations in the work environment, and complying with all federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Kendal~Crosslands is offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus for the successful applicant. 

Qualifications include a current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Also required are five years of related progressive experience in clinical practice nursing management and dementia care, experience in the nursing management of long-term or acute care, and five years of experience in a leadership role. Must have strong team building and leadership skills and working knowledge of electronic medical records and pharmacy software systems. Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred.
