Part-Time / Every Friday

JOB SUMMARY

Maintain patient flow, escorting patients to exam rooms, perform clinical duties: phlebotomy, vital signs, collect medical histories and information, verify medication, ekgs, nebulizer treatments, and prepare and clean treatment room.
Prepare and administer vaccinations under the supervision of a physician
Instruct and educate patients on good health practices as directed by the provider
Properly dispose of waste and contaminated materials; sterilize instruments
Conduct routine lab tests (blood, stool, urine)
Administrative duties: answer phones; schedule patient appointments; follow up with patients regarding questions or test results
Utilize EHR software to manage patient files electronically (eClinical)
Track and order supplies; provide prescription information and refill authorization to pharmacies when instructed by a provider electronically or by fax
Cross-train for front office duties
Experience with Windows, Word, Excel and eClinical preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Certified Medical assistant.
Bachelor’s degree or certification from an accredited college, university or program.
